I was able to go home to Guatemala with my two little kids this past september. We had a great time with my family and Brennan loved being home playing with my dad. I wish I could have stayed longer at home but we missed Marshall a ton ( He had school and work). Hopefully we will go back there soon, this time with Marshall

For Mother's day Marshall gave me flowers and chocolate. The flowers were beautiful, and Brennan loves to smell them, he even fights with us because he wants to have one of the flowers and take it with him while smelling it. Brennan and Marshall are also helping me to eat the chocolates they got me. We're really bad when we have chocolate at home, we can't stay away from it. Since the weather was so nice today, we took a nice walk with the kids around the block. Brennan really loved riding his trike, he's soo cute and he learned really fast to use the pedals of the trike, so he has fun going out for walks. I don't have pictures of him in his trike, but I'll get one eventually. Here are some pictures of the last week.

We blessed our little Isabelle today at church. We had really nice weather, at least for a little while, and Marshall's blessing was beautiful. I am really happy that Marshall is the father of my kids, he loves them so much. My sister was actually the only family that was able to make it to the blessing, since my dad lives in Guatemala,and Marshall parents are in Idaho and weren't able to make it. We had some really good friends in our ward that were able to stand with Marshall and it was really nice. Here are some pics, and our first family photo

So April came and went, and my little is already 6 weeks old. Time really flies. Brennan and Isabelle are doing really good. Marshall and I are surviving 2 kids, school and work. I'm just glad that this semester is almost over and that we can have Marshall a little bit more at home and also at church, since he was working on Sundays this last semester, and I have the kids by myself at church every Sunday. We are really excited about the nice weather coming up next week. I was also really happy and very grateful for getting my citizenship papers done and being able to take the oath two weeks ago. It was a very long and expensive process, but it was all worth it. My dad also came to meet Isabelle, it was so cute, he melted like butter when he saw her, he had tons of fun with both, Brennan and Isabelle.

Brennan turned 2 on Wednesday. We had a little party for him. He was having a lot of fun with his buddy Jaden. We couldn't do much since Isabelle was only 5 days old, and me and Marshall didn't have much energy to make anything bigger. But he had tons of fun opening presents and blowing out the candle on his cupcakes.

We Have a Baby !!

Isabelle Eleanor Priest was born on Friday the 13Th of March. She weighted 6lb. 12oz. and she's 17-1/2 inches long (She's skinny and short, but healthy). We are really excited to finally have her home, everything went really fast and well. We got home yesterday afternoon since I felt really good to go home. We haven't slept very much since Friday, but that's OK. Brennan is adjusting to Isabelle really good, he's such a good helper, trying to comfort her when she cries and everything, and it also helps that he sleeps through the night so we don't have to deal with two kids at the same time. He's a very protective brother, and loves to give her little kisses on the cheek. Once I was induced, everything only took about 5 hours from the time they started the pitocin until she was born. It was very nice and quick, and thanks to the epidural almost pain free.
Here are some pictures that we have of her in the hospital, but I'm sure there will be more pictures to come in the future. We're really excited and we feel extremely blessed for having Brennan and now our little Isabelle in our home.

New Addition to the Priest House!!!

We are very excited with the new addition to our home. For those who don't know we have had our Ford since we were married 4-1/2 years ago. But Marshall got that car from his parents, and they got it from my father in law's dad. Anyway our car is kinda old - it's a '92 Ford Taurus GL. We really love our car, but recently started to have a lot of troubles starting, and shaking kinda funny when we stop at any red light. We had it checked many times and everything seems to be OK for a few days, but it keeps happening over and over, so we decided that it was time to semi-retire our beloved Ford Taurus and get something a little bit more reliable with some extra room for the new baby. So a week and a half ago we got our new car - a Mazda5. At first I really didn't like it very much because I don't like the look of minivans and when I saw it, it totally look like one. But after the test drive and looking at our budget and other things I really started liking it more. With insurance and everything it was like $12,000 cheaper that the car that I really wanted which was a Hyundai Santa Fe with the 3rd. row seat,but the Santa Fe made me look like a 10 year old driving a crossover because I'm really short and had to bring the whole driver seat forward. At least with the Mazda I don't feel that small and it's actually really nice to get in and out of the car. I'm saying this because my belly is so much bigger right now that any little thing helps so much.
Hopefully the pictures that I put in this post will download, if not I'll try again later. As far as the rest of the family goes, Marshall is doing great at school,lots of homework of course, but we feel really blessed that he can go to school. Brennan is getting cuter that ever, he's starting to talk a lot more and we loved every minute that we spend with him. I'm doing fine and our little is still trying to make room where there is no more room. I just have to remind myself that I still have about 3 more weeks to go and everything will be done, at least with the pregnancy part, but I know other things will come, like more lack of sleep, changing more diapers, breasfeeding, lack of sleep (did I just say that twice?) I really love my sleep.

It’s really hard to believe that we're starting a new year. This one for sure is going to be exciting in our house. I went to the Dr. today and she told me that the baby is doing really good her heart rate is 148, and she is moving like she's having a huge party, or she's probably just trying to make some extra room. I on the other hand feel like my belly is tearing apart, but other than that I'm OK. Brennan is doing really good too, he's just into everything, he likes to help around the house, picking up the plates and taking them to the kitchen sink, he has also broken a plate and a bowl in that way, he's so sweet, he likes to give kisses all the time and hugs, which I can't get over that. I love hugging and kissing my little boy. Marshall started school today, he was very interested in his first nanotechnology class. I have no idea what nanotechnology is but he said it will be very interesting. This is what is going on for January - we are trying to clean and move things around as much as we can so we don't have to do it when the baby gets here, so hopefully we'll get around to it in the next few weeks.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

We hope that everybody had a great Christmas, and we wish to all a great New Year 2009. I didn't post anything for Christmas. But we had a lot of fun with my family (The Caceros family).We got to open some presents. Well Brennan got to open most of the presents. Me and Marshall got our presents a month early. Marshall got me a a new set of couches, we also gave ourselves a Wii game with Rock Band 2, and a new TV. So for Christmas we only had stockings which was really fun to have. And for New Years we went to Idaho to visit the Priest Family, it was very nice to have family at home and also to be able to visit our family. As I did on Christmas of 2007, I forgot to take pictures of Brennan opening presents, and I did the same thing this year, so I don't have any pictures of my little boy with his new presents, but he had a great time playing with the wrapping paper. Then he realized that there were toys around him, so he started playing with them.

Brennan loves putting Marshall's glasses on a lot of the time, and since the Harry Potter movies are playing on TV, I though we could make him look just like our favorite book character. Also is one of the few pictures that he's smiling just enough, since it's really hard to make him smile for pictures sometimes.

The Last Two Months!!

I think our last post was sometime in October. We have some interesting things going on in our house in the last two months. So here we go

Almost at the end of October Brennan got really sick and we really didn't know what happen to him, until a few days later when his diarrhea and vomiting weren't stopping, so we have to take him to Primary Children to help him get hydrated and a little bit back to his normal self. The day after we got back from the ER he was totally OK but we had to bring him home with his IV just in case we had to go back to the hospital, he wasn't very happy about having an IV put on, but after that he was fine.

The very last day of October we got a phone call that Marshall's grandma had passed away, we are still a little sad for not having her around us, especially for Thanksgiving, but we know that she is in a totally awesome place right now. We were able to see her a week before her passing , so we were able to let her know how much we loved her.

I also have a Dr. appointment to see how the baby is doing, and Dr. said she is doing really good, heart beat was great and everything went really well, I'm already showing a lot more of my pregnant belly, I think a little more than when I was pregnant with Brennan. The Dr. also remind me about contractions when my belly gets really hard all the sudden, I guess I completely forgot about that, other than that me and the baby are really good.

Marshall parents were here for a few days after their trip to Peru, so we were able to celebrate Judy's (Marsh mom) birthday. I don't have any pictures of that weekend, but we had a lot of fun having them home, and they were able to spend some time with Brennan.

My sister's birthday also happened in November, I do have some pictures, but I don't know if she wants me to post those, so I'm not going to just in case.

Marshall's school is going really good, he still has a ton of homework to do, but he is very nice with me and Brennan and on his days off he sacrifice his homework to spend time with us and to do other things. He will be done with this semester in 2 weeks :)

Me, Marshall and Brennan got our Christmas present in advance this year, so the only thing we'll have for Christmas is our stocking. We gave our self a new couch and love seat with recliners (I totally loved them) and also we got a Wii console with the Mario Kart game. Brennan loves to see the races and sometimes (meaning most of the time) he likes to be part of the fun as well, so we have to trick him a little bit so we can play, but it's really cute seen him point out at the little thing on the game. Brennan also got a little tent from Costco, we haven't set it up yet, but we'll do it after all the Christmas decorations come down.

Out Thanksgiving dinner was really nice, we didn't have a turkey this years, but we got a nice Ham, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, home made bread, and pies, we were totally stuffed. We spend it at home with my sister and Amy Juett (sissster). I said dinner was good, maybe because I made all the food this year, I was exhausted but we had a lot of fun, and everybody got seconds so I'm sure they really liked the food. Brennan was running around the house like crazy, I love seeing my little boy running around every where, even though sometimes it's a little hard.

This is a lot of writing, which I'm not used to doing, and maybe because I don't like to read really long posts. Sorry about that I'll keep it short next time.

We went for my ultrasound today and we're happy to announce that we are having a little baby......GIRL!! The ultrasound tech said that everything looks great, and that she is doing really good. We were really happy to see her little heart beating, and also to see how tiny she is right now, but we are looking forward to see her next march.

Brennan and Baby #2 Drs. Appointments

Maybe Brennan isn't considered a baby anymore, but for me he's still my little baby, and I think he'll be my little baby forever. Anyway me and Brennan had a Dr. appointments the last few weeks and Brennan looks like he's the perfect little boy, he passed his CHAD (Checklist for Autism in Toddlers), his weight, height and head circumference (Marshall calls him melon head) are perfect. and we don't have to visit his pediatrician for another six months. And for me, the baby heart beat was great, my weight is fine, and we're really excited, because in two weeks I'm having my ultrasound and hopefully we'll find out if we're having another little boy or a girl.

I guess this is not part of the babies update, but today we have been enjoying the first day of conference, its been great to listening to all the general authorities and also to know that the're building 5 new temples in the world.

Brennan absolutely loves having grandpa Caceros home, he didn't have to go to bed early, and he got to play ball outside in our front yard all the time. It was really fun having my dad coming to visit us and especially spend a lot of time with Brennan.

We Have Some News!

Since I'm not very good at writing, this is the short version of what is going on in our family since the last post.

When we came back from our vacation in Idaho, we find out that we're having baby #2 due in March 17th. We're really excited about it!

Brennan had some swimming lessons this summer and he absolutely loved being in the water, playing and splashing around.

Also he started to very slowly understand little things here and there, but the highlight of all the things that he has been learning is that he knows when it is time to say a prayer he puts his head down and waits until the end to say a big loud AMEN and then clap after that. I love my little guy!

Marshall started with his Master's last week, he's getting used to being at school and working part time. He's getting his Master's of Science and Technology, emphasizing biotechnology.

I'm still trying to get over morning sickness, the worst part of all is that I have a really hard time changing diapers and playing with Brennan, I have 4 more week to go, hopefully less, but I can't wait to get over this stage of pregnancy and move on, and go out and have somewhat of a normal life again.

Since Marshall's birthday we haven't done very much. Marshall only has 6 more weeks before he has to start school at the U of U. We are really happy for him! We had a big family trip to Walt Disney World in the beginning of May. It was a lot of fun. We visited all the Walt Disney Theme Parks (except Blizzard Beach), as well as Sea World and Universal Studios. Even though it was springtime, the weather was still really hot and sunny, but luckily we all bought big hats. The rides were a ton of fun and we got more exercise than we've had in a long time, standing in lines and walking from ride to ride. Unfortunately, Brennan got an ear infection early on, but we got him checked out at a clinic and he was started on some antibiotics. He did great the rest of the time. He LOVED the kiddie water area and Typhoon Lagoon and he was totally cute in his little swimsuit and safari hat.

We really love how Brennan has grown in the last few months. He has 6 teeth and he's starting to take his fist steps. Since Sunday afternoon he's really gotten excited to walk with anybody who will hold him. He's so funny because he always leans sideways. But after a few days of practice he's gotten a lot better, which is really nice and at the same time scary because he likes to go everywhere. We'll post a video of him walking later. Here are some pictures of Brennan that are really funny and show a lot of his personality, at least that is what we think.

Now that Brennan has 5-1/2 teeth, he's loving just to smile to the camara ans show off those cute little cutters that he has in his mouth. We love seeing him smile so much. He's such a good baby.

Utah Auto-Expo

We went to The Utah Auto-Expo last Saturday to walk around and see all the new cars that are coming up for 2008. It was also really fun to stop and see the classics and the room with all the camaros, also it was really cool to see sport cars like the ferrari, and a few concept cars that wil come up withing the next few years. Brennan was having fun being strolled around and getting in a few of the cars with me.

El sabado pasado fuimos a la Exposicion de Autos en Utah, para ir a ver los carros nuevos que vienen para este 2008. Nos divertimos mucho en el cuarto de los carros clasicos, y en el cuarto con todos los camaros. Tambien nos divertimos mucho viendo los carros deportivos como el ferrari, y algunos carros concepto que saldran en los proximos anos. Brennan estaba contento que lo carrociaran en su carrito y tambien se subio a alguno de los carros conmigo.

We had a really fun first Christmas with Brennan. He really enjoyed playing with the wrappers of his presents. Thank you grandma and grandpa Priest for the presents. We were so excited seeing Brennan looking at his presents that we totally forgot to take pictures, so sadly we have no pictures of our first Christmas with our boy. New Year was also really fun, my dad came from Guatemala for a week and he absolutely loved playing with Brennan.

Nuestra primera navidad con Brennan fue muy divertida. El disfruto mucho jugando con el papel en donde sus regalos estaban envueltos. Gracias abuelito y abuelita Caceros por los regalos. Estabamos tan emocionados viendo la reaccion de Brennan cuando abrimos los regalos que olvidamos completamente tomar fotos, asi que tristemente no tenemos fotos de la primera navidad con el nene. El ano nuevo tambien estuvo divertido, mi papa vino de Guatemala por una semana y, y se la paso bien jugando con Brennan

We went and spend a week in Idaho to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Priests. We had a really fun time hanging out with the family and eating a lot of really good food and relaxing a lot. Brennan was such a good boy, he was always so happy and going from arm to arm with everybody, and just being Brennan. We also went to Given's hot springs on the last night that we were in Idaho and Brennan absolutely loved the nice warm water and the nice thing about going on monday was that we had the pool just for ourselves. Good times with the fam, :)

Pasamos una semana en Idaho para celebrar el Dia de Gracias con los Priest. La pasamos muy bien con la familia y tambien comiendo un monton, y disfrutando el descando. Brennan se porto super bien, siempre bien contento con todos. Tambien fuimos a Given's Hot Springs la ultima noche que estuvimos en Idaho y Brennan estaba super contento en la piscina con el agua calientita, y lo bueno de haber ido el lunes fue que tuvimos la piscina solo para nosotros. :)

Halloween Pics!

Well, it's October, and the month for Halloween! OOOOOooooo! Andrea and I carved our first pumpkins together and then we cooked and ate the pumpkin seeds. Yummy. The Community also had a trunk or treat and we decided to get some candy for Brennan (When I say candy for Brennan, I really mean candy for me and Andrea) :D . It was really fun seeing some people from our ward and a lot of really cute costumes for the kids. It was also fun seeing Brennan in his cute little bee costume.

Como es el mes de Octubre y el mes Halloween! OOOOOooooooo! Marshall y yo cortamos nuestra primera calabaza juntos y cocinamos las semillas de la calabaza que son bien ricas. Tambien en nuestro vecindario tuvieron una fiesta para los ninos y decidimos ir a traer dulces para Brennan ( Cuando digo ir a traer dulces para Brennan realmente digo que eran dulces para Marshall y para mi :D) Nos divertimos mucho y vimos a mucha gente de nuestro barrio y muchos ninos con trajes bien lindos. Tambien nos divertimos mucho ver a Brennan con su traje de abeja.

I had to work this weekend and got Tuesday and Wednesday off. Since today is Tuesday, Andrea and I decided to take our little family and drive around so we can get out of the house. We drove up through to super rich areas in the side of the mountain and admired the houses. Then we visited the big "U" on the side of the mountain and enjoyed the view of the Salt Lake Valley.
Tuve que trabajar este fin de semana y me dieron el Martes y el Miercoles libre. Como hoy es martes Andrea y yo decidimos salir con nuestra familia y manejar alrededor para salir de la casa. Manejamos en donde estan unas casas enormes al lado de la montana y tambien para admirar las casas. Tambien visitamos la "U" al lado de la montana y disfrutamos la vista del valle de Salt Lake.

This weekend we got our flue shot at Marshall's work, and as always we were wondering how Brennan was going to handle the situation, and we have to say: We have the bravest kid ever. Brennan hasn't really cried for any of his vaccines, he's always really smiley and happy, as long as you don't hold his legs for a very long time. ;)

Este fin de semana fuimos al trabajo de Marshall a que nos vacunaran contra la influenza, y como siempre estabamos esperando como Brennan iba a manejar la situacion, y tenemos que decirlos, el es el nino mas valiente en el mundo. Brennan casi nunca ha llorado cuando le ponen las vacunas , y siempre esta bien sonriente y contento, tan solo con que no le agarremos las piernitas por mucho tiempo. :)

Brennan is exactly 7 months old. Times goes really fast, and we are enjoying the time with him, he's just learning how to crawl, which is really funny. He's moving like a little worm and lifting his tinny but to push himself forward. He's also teething which is not too much fun for him and neither for us especially at night, he is a bit restless, but hopefully it will go away soon enough just in time for his other teeth to come out.

Brennan es exactamente 7 meses. El tiempo vuela super rapido, pero estamos disfrutando el tiempo con el. El tambien esta aprendiendo a gatear, es muy divertido. El se mueve como un gusanito y levanta su colita para empujarse. Tambien le esta saliendo un diente. No es muy divertido para el ni para nosotros especialmente en las noches, el no esta durmiendo muy bien, pero esperamos que el dolor se vaya pronto y solo para esperar por el proximo diente a salir.

We started Brennan on puree vegetables! We've been giving him a little rice cereal with formula just to get him used to a thicker texture. Last week we began giving him sweet potatoes, which he really likes. This week we began feeding him carrots which, as you can see from the photos, he doesn't like very much.

Empezamos a darle a Brennan pure de vegatales. Empezamos primero con cereal de arroz mezclandolo con formula solo para que se acostumbre a lo espeso del cereal. La semana pasada empesamos a darle papas dulces (sweet potatoes) que le gustaron mucho. Esta semana empesamos a darle pure de zanahorias que como pueden ver en las fotos no le gusta mucho :)

My family came from Guatemala last week to meet Brennan, and Marshall's parents came on sunday the same day that my family flew back home. So we had a full week with our family and it was really fun.
Mi familia vino de Guatemala la semana pasada para conocer a Brennan, y los papas de Marshall vinieron el domingo, el mismo dia que mi familia regreso a casa. Tuvimos una semanas ocupada pero nos divertimos mucho.

Me and Marshall were looking through our pictures and found out that Brennan likes to open his mouth a lot when we put the camara in front of him. So we decided to post some of the pictures that we have taken when he's showing his glowing gums (he has no teeth yet).

I finally got some pics of Brennan trying to get to his toes and also holding the bottle. This new milestone happened in the last two weeks. He's also realizing that he can scream really loud and whenever the opportunity comes around he's a very vocal baby to the point that me and Marshall are almost deaf. But we love our little guy and enjoy seeing how he's discovering new things.

Finalmente logre tomar unas fotos de Brennan tratando de comerse los dedos del pie y tambien aprendiendo a agarrar su pacha. Este nuevo descrubiento paso hace un par de semanas. Tambien el se ha dado cuenta que puede gritar bien fuerte, y cuando se presenta la oportunidad de hacerlo nos hemos dado cuenta que es un bebe bien griton, al punto que Marshall y yo estamos casi sordos. Pero amamos a nuestros chiquito y disfrutamos verlo cuando descubre cosas nuevas.

Trip to the Zoo!!

ARUP is the company where marshall works, and they have for all the employees a free trip to the zoo. It was really fun to walk around and enjoy the afternoon looking at some animals. Brennan fell sleep half-way through, but Marshall and I were just happy to go out and have some family fun.
ARUP es la compania en donde Marshall trabaja, y el viernes pasado les dieron a todos los empleados boletos gratis para ir al zoologico. Disfrutamos mucho caminar en la tarde por el zoologico y viendo algunos animales. Brennan se durmio a mitad de camino, pero Marshall y yo estabamos contentos de salir y disfrutar la tarde como familia.

This is the white alligator on display. It has a weird genetic defect so it doesn't have any melanin cells and so is sensitive to sunlight. It's not albino, but the result is similar. cool.

Last Week!!

Last week we have had a very good week. Marshall and I finally decided that it was time for both of us to start getting back in shape. It's not that we are overweight or anything like that, but we both felt that it will be good for our bodies and help us to keep up with Brennan's fast growing. We started very slowly with running and doind some light weight lifting, we are definitely very tired but it feel SO GOOD! Brennan is also learning new things; his eye-hand cordination is really good. He really likes to play with the remote control and any other thing that he can bring to his mouth, sometimes his bottle or the burp rags. He still likes to chew his toes. I haven't been able to take a pic when he's chewing his toes but I'm working on it. Now with our new church calling we are busy on wednesday and sunday with meetings and all that, but we really enjoy our callings. Everybody in church keeps saying that Brennan is so beautiful and we believe it, the more we see him grow the more we agree that he is getting more beautiful than ever. This coming week we are planning to go to an ARUP conference abouth ghost hunters which is a show on the Sci-fi channel, and on friday we are going to spend the afternoon at the zoo, we are going to take some pics of that and show it to everybody.

La semana pasada fue una buena semana! Marshall y yo decidimos que ya era tiempo de empesar a ponernos de nuevo en forma. No es que estemos de sobrepeso o algo por el estilo, pero sentimos que seria bueno para nosotros y para ayudarnos con el rapido crecimiento de Brennan. Empesamos corriendo y levantando algunas pesas, nos sentimos cansados pero se siente SUPER BIEN! Brennan tambien esta aprendiendo nuevas cosas, la cordinacion de sus ojos con sus manos esta mejorando. A el le gusta jugar con el control remoto y cualquier otra cosa que se pueda traer a la boca, como su pacha o su rag para eruptar. Todavia le gusta comerse los dedos del pie, todavia no he podido tomar una foto cuando se esta comiendo los dedos del pie pero estoy trabajando en eso. Ahora con nuestro nuevo llamamientos en la iglesia nos mantenemos ocupados los dias miercoles y domingos con reuniones y todo eso, pero nos gusta mucho nuestros llamamientos. Todos en la iglesia nos dicen que Brennan es bien lindo y nosotros lo creemos, mientras lo miramos crecer mas, mas nos damos cuenta lo lindo que se mira. Esta semana vamos a ir a una conferencia a ARUP sobre casadores de fantasmas que es un programa del canal sci-fi, y el viernes vamos a pasar la tarde en el zoologico, vamos a tomar fotos para mostrarlas a todos.

Brennan ya esta aprendiendo a sentarse...en estos dias ya ha estado progresando en el tiempo que se puede sentar solito sin caerse de un lado al otro. Tambien esta descubriendo como le gusta comerse los dedos del pie y aveces se enoja si no puede alcansar su pie y traerselo a la boca. Pero una vez los tiene y se los come es el bebe mas feliz del mundo!!

4 Months!!!

Today Brennan is 4 months old. Can you believe it!? He's getting bigger and bigger, and last week he weighed in at 14 lbs 2 oz. He's already doubled his birthweight. He's starting to be able to sit up on his own, but he keeps tipping over to either the right or left. :)

Hoy Brennan cumplio 4 meses . Pueden creerlo!!?? Es esta creciendo y creciendo, y la semana pasada lo pesaron con el pediatra, y pesa 14 lb. 2 oz. El ahora pesa doble del peso que tenia cuando nacio, ya se sienta por el solito pero pierde su balance y se cae ya sea a la derecha o a la izquierda.
